Announcements for Wednesday, April 2, 2025

ATHLETICS:

·         Today, the JV and freshmen baseball teams will play away at Dutchtown starting at 4pm.

·         Today, the tennis team has a match against Central at North Park.

·         Our track and field team will be competing in the Livingston Parish Meet today at Live Oak.

CONGRATULATIONS:

·         Congratulations to Aurora Livingston! She is a recipient of the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Travel Scholarship from national DECA! We are so proud of her accomplishment!

·         Congratulations to Brayden Paetz and Austin Mackiewicz for placing 4th in the FFA State Small Engines competition and to Preston Comeaux and Trevor Watts for placing 6th in the State FFA Welding Competition.

 ALL STUDENTS:

·         Color Guard tryouts to be a part of the Band of Legacy Color Guard will be next Tuesday, April 8th, and next Thursday April 10th in the band room.  Tryouts will include a clinic to teach you all necessary skills.  Tryouts will be 3:00 p.m. Until 5:30. If you have any questions, see Mr. Hirst in the Band Room or pick up a flyer at the Wildcat Window.

·         Neighbors will be selecting 3 students that will be seniors in 2026 (next year) to join their team. Today is the deadline to apply. You can get more details from the Neighbors Branch in the main building.

·         Attention: Students taking the ACT this Saturday, April 5th  …  You will report to North Campus for testing. You should report by 7:30 AM to the Annex located off Burgess on the north side of campus.  You will park in the lot accessible by Burgess Ave across from Westside Junior High.  Students should bring their printed admission ticket, a picture ID such as a driver's license or school ID, a personal calculator, and pencils. Please note: LA Wallet is not accepted by ACT.  Finally, check that your calculator meets ACT guidelines by visiting ACT.org or checking the flyer outside room 1106. If you have any questions, see Ms. Courville in room 1106.

SOPHOMORES:

·         Sophomores, Jostens will be on campus on Friday, April 11th to take class ring orders and payments. They will be located in the Wildcat Gymnasium lobby during all three lunch shifts.

SENIORS:

·         Seniors, Herff Jones will be here on Friday, April 4 in the new gym lobby during all lunch shifts to deliver graduation supplies (announcements, name cards, other paper products). They will also be taking payments and orders for those that have not ordered yet. Every senior participating in the graduation ceremony must purchase a cap and gown from Herff Jones. 

·         Caps and gowns will be delivered during senior breakfast on Friday, April 25 during 1st block. ALL SENIORS MUST BE IN SCHOOL UNIFORM TO ATTEND SENIOR BREAKFAST. Any senior that cannot attend senior breakfast can stop by main office beginning Monday, April 28 to pick up cap and gown. 

·         Gold stoles will be handed out at senior awards. White stoles will be handed out at graduation practice.
