ATHLETICS:
· The Lady Cat Golf team competed in the Kelly Gipson High School Invitational last weekend. Congratulations to Evelynn Artieta who placed first overall.
· Today, the boys’ basketball team will play away at Prairieville. Freshmen start at 5pm, followed by JV and varsity.
· The Lady Cats basketball team will play Prairieville at home. JV starts at 5:30pm, followed by Varsity.
· The Lady Cats varsity softball team will be scrimmaging against Ascension Catholic here at home. They will start at 4:30pm.
CONGRATULATIONS:
· Last week, Walker High Beta Club competed at State Convention in Lafayette. The following students received awards:
o Sawyer Herring 3rd place in Sculpture and the recipient of the Robbie Scott Scholarship
o Ava Cupit received the golden ticket of Premiere Performer
o Mackenzie Scott 5th place in Apparel Design
o Ryder Pettit-Wise 4th place in Drawing
o Grace Graphia 1st place in Digital Art.

ALL STUDENTS:
· Today we will finish up vision and hearing screening for all freshmen. A schedule has been sent out to teachers. Students are to report to the LIBRARY at the appointed time. All freshmen are required to be screened.
· Today, is Smoothie Tuesday during all 3 lunch shifts.
· Students, tomorrow will be the grade and excuse cutoff for this interim. Please make sure you are caught up on all make-up work and that you have turned in all your excuses before Wednesday!
· We will be offering an ACT Bootcamp in February. The dates are Wednesday, February 26 and Thursday, February 27, 2:45 - 4:45 pm. The cost is $50. The deadline to sign up is Friday, February 21st. You can sign-up through the school online payment system.
· Cheer tryout packets can be picked up at the Wildcat Window or the Annex beginning today. They can be turned in to Mrs. Delaune in the annex or Mrs. Dalton in room 1110. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Delaune or Mrs. Dalton.
