WELCOME BACK FROM MARDI GRAS BREAK!

ATHLETICS:

·         Today, the Lady Cats basketball team will play in the Semi-Finals at Southeastern’s Activity Center in Hammond at 8pm against Zachary.  We encourage you to come out and support your Lady Cats!

·         Today there will be a pep rally to recognize the Lady Cats and our Special Olympians that competed last week!

·         Our track and field team will be competing at Denham Springs today.

·         Our Lady Cats softball team will play Prairieville here at home at 4pm.

·         The freshmen baseball team will begin their tournament here at home at 5pm against Prairieville and the varsity team will begin a tournament at East Ascension today at 4pm.

ALL STUDENTS:

·         Teachers, if you teach any 11th graders, please review the day and time they should report to library with their computer and ACT login. Look for an email from Ms. Bourgeois with all the details.

·         Any boys interested in participating in the 1st Annual Macho Man Volleyball Tournament in April can now pick up a participation form in the annex. Please turn them in to Coach Hebert in room 106 or Coach Rivero in room 207. The deadline to sign up is March 21st.

·         Prom Information:

o   Limited Time Prom Tickets go on sale today through March 19th for $25 through the school online payment system. After March 19th the ticket price increases to $30. Every Walker student must purchase his/her own ticket! Only those that purchase tickets between March 6 & 19 are eligible for Prom Queen & King. But, you can’t even get a ticket unless your Clearance Request is Cleared!

o   Every student at Walker must do a prom clearance request. This is an online request and takes about 2 minutes. Only do 1 request!  Doing multiple requests slows up the process! You will receive an email back, letting you know whether or not you are cleared!  So far, over 100 emails have been sent back because students owe either a school fee or a library fee. These fees must be paid or your ticket will not be released. Be sure to check your email!

o   If you have questions, you can check at the annex during your lunch, but not during class time.
