Announcements for Thursday, March 13, 2025

ATHLETICS:

·         Congratulations to the baseball team for their 8-2 win over Episcopal. Today, the freshmen baseball team will travel to Ascension Christian and the Varsity baseball team will play at home against Live Oak at 6pm. 

·         Today, the track & field team will compete at Live Oak.

·         We would like to congratulate the following student-athletes for making the Academic All-State Composite teams for their respective spring sports:

-        Track and Field - Peyton Levy, Grace Ross and Rhoby Graham

-        Softball - Payten Gordon and Logan Mansur

-        Baseball - Andrew Hickey and Rhett Pitarro

CONGRATULATIONS:

·         Congratulations to Trevor Watts and Preston Comeaux for placing 3rd at the Area IV Welding Contest Yesterday.  They advance to the State Welding Contest in April.

ALL STUDENTS:

·         Students, tomorrow we are hosting 4H Achievement Day on our campus so Walker High students do not have school!  This day is only for WHS students only.  Classes will resume on Monday!

·         All students who plan to take Principles of Marketing 1 & 2 next school year are REQUIRED to complete the application & get 2 teacher recommendation letters completed. Students who do not complete these tasks will not be considered for the course. Packets can be found at the Wildcat Window. Applications should be turned in to the folder outside of Room 1014.

·         Students & Teachers: Our theater department will be presenting the musical “School House Rock” March 20th-22nd.  Tickets are now on sale at i2Tickets.com.

·         Juniors/Seniors:  You only have 1 week left to purchase your prom ticket for $25. The deadline for limited time tickets is Wednesday, March 19th.  Don’t forget … everyone must do a clearance request and get approval before any tickets are released.  Check your email or visit the annex if you have questions!

·         We will be offering a Driver’s Ed Spring/Summer class. There will be one session in April and students will do the driving portion during the summer. CLASSES ARE LIMITED.  ONCE THE CLASS IS FULL THE SESSION WILL BE CLOSED.  The cost of this class is $400.00.  You may pay ONLINE through the school payment system or money order only.  Payment and registration need to be turned into the office/Wildcat Window as early as possible to secure a spot.   The deadline is Thursday, April 24th unless the session fills up before that!  More information can be picked up at the Wildcat Window or the Annex.
