ALL STUDENTS:

·         If you are signed up for ACT Bootcamp today you will report to Rooms 1112 and 1008. Someone will be in the hallway to help you find your room.

·         ACT Fee Waivers are available for 10th Grade students AND any Senior that scored below a 20.  There is a limited number so they will be given out on a first come first, served basis.  Tomorrow is the deadline to register for the April ACT, at ACT.ORG.

·         Are you planning to go to prom?  Did you submit your online clearance request? Have you checked your email to make sure you are cleared?  64 emails have been sent back because students owe some type of fee. These fees must be paid or your ticket will not be released. Be sure to check the SAME EMAIL that you used to submit your clearance request. If you have questions, you can check at the annex during your lunch, but not during class time.

·         Tomorrow, PJs will be closed during all lunch shifts and will reopen when we return from the break.

FFA WEEK:

Thank you to Aubrey Matherne for today’s announcements.  She is the vice president of Walker FFA chapter here at Walker High School.

This week is FFA week. Today there are more than 1,027,273 FFA members from all 50 states including Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. These students are engaged in a wide range of agricultural education activities. The Walker FFA Chapter was established in 1999. FFA is structured on 3 levels: local, state, and national, which is led by up to 8 officers and an advisor. The most common officer positions are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure, Reporter, and Sentinel. Your 2024-2025 officer team is Lauren Miller, Molly Britt, Aubrey Matherne, Kamryn Hudspeth, Hunter Brooks, and Addison Sibley.

Remember to look for the emblems hidden on campus. If you find the cow emblem or FFA emblem, bring it to the Ag building Room 5004 to get your prize!

FFA will NOT be hosting Ag Olympics today at lunch shifts as we will be providing lunch for the Walker High faculty and staff to thank them for their support throughout the year.

MENUS:

Lunch Line:  Cheesy Nachos, refried beans
