Announcements for Thursday, April 3, 2025

ATHLETICS:

·         Today, the Lady Cats softball team will play away at Academy of Our Lady starting at 5pm.

·         The varsity baseball team will play Dutchtown at home at 6pm.

·         The boys’ golf team has a match at Clark Park.

·         Congratulations to the girls’ tennis team for their 4-1 win against Central yesterday.

·         Congratulations to the Track & Field team. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams came in 2nd place in the Livingston Parish Meet yesterday.  Individual winners include:

o   Nyla Riggins –broke a parish meet record and came in 1st place in the 100 and 200 meters.

o   Kermit Jackson – came in 1st place in the long jump and Seth Barton came in 2nd place in the long jump.

o   Logan Cookmeyer and Cayden Jones came in 1st place in the high jump.

o   Eli Hegwood came in 1st place in the pole vault and Rhoby Graham came in 2nd place in the pole vault. Peyton Childress came in 3rd place in pole vault.

o   Candilynn Vega came in 1st place in the 800m and the 1600m.

o   Peyton Levy came in 1st place in the 1600m.

o   Bryson Thomas came in 1st place in the discus.

o   Peyton Childress came in 1st place in the javelin.

o   Jamarcus Neyland came in 3rd place in the 200m.

o   Jacob Mackey came in 3rd place in the 100m and Jonathan Musso came in 4th place in the 100m.

o   Kameron Rheams came in 1st place in the triple jump.

o   Nyla Riggins, DaNijah Goza, Talayjah Goza and LaShantae Clay came in 1st place in the 4x100m relay and the 4x200 relay.

o   CadeMichael Ard, Jamarcus Neyland, Allyn Weathersby and Jacob Mackey came in 1st place in the 4x200 relay.

o   Peyton Levy, Tristian Gibbons, Logan Vulgamore and Oren Hibbard came in 1st place in 4x800 relay.


CONGRATULATIONS:

·         Congratulations to the following students for their placements at HOSA State Leadership Conference: 

- Hannah Morgan placed 1st in Extemporaneous Writing

- Lauren Arceneaux and Addison Thomas placed 4th in Health Career Display 

- Kaylee Emerson, Christen McGee, Peyton Lashua, Ryleigh Hopkins, and Denver Hurst received “Stop the Bleed” Certifications.

 

ALL STUDENTS:

·         Prom Red Carpet Photos and Dance Photos are now available. A link has been sent through KiNVO and is posted on social media so that you can view and order your photos. 

·         Color Guard tryouts to be a part of the Band of Legacy Color Guard will be next Tuesday, April 8th, and next Thursday April 10th in the band room.  Tryouts will include a clinic to teach you all necessary skills.  Tryouts will be 3:00 p.m. Until 5:30. If you have any questions, see Mr. Hirst in the Band Room or pick up a flyer at the Wildcat Window.


SENIORS:

·         Seniors, Herff Jones will be here on Friday, April 4 in the new gym lobby during all lunch shifts to deliver graduation supplies (announcements, name cards, other paper products). They will also be taking payments and orders for those that have not ordered yet. Every senior participating in the graduation ceremony must purchase a cap and gown from Herff Jones.
