ATHLETICS:
·        Congratulations Lady Cats and Wildcats!
·        Yesterday, the Lady Cats softball team defeated Lakeshore. The Lady Cats play again today at 4pm at home against Mt. Carmel.
·        The boys’ varsity baseball team beat Sulphur yesterday and will play again today in Game 2 of the 3-day series. Tomorrow they play at noon.Â
·        The Lady Cats basketball team beat Sulphur in the Playoff Quarterfinals last night and advance to play next week State Playoffs in Hammond. More information will be posted through social media as it becomes available. Thank you to everyone that came out last night and supported your Lady Cats and Wildcats!Â
·        Tonight, there will be a Bass Fishing Team Meeting in the cafeteria at 6pm.
ALL STUDENTS:
·        Today, PJs will be closed during all lunch shifts and will reopen when we return from the break.Â
·        Today is the regular deadline date to register for the April ACT at ACT.ORG. If students register for this test, there is an option you can select to get a second test for FREE!
·        Don’t forget, today after school there will be an open cast call for anyone who is interested in having a part or being an extra in our upcoming Great Gatsby production. For more information, see Mr. Mozingo in the Theater room.
·        Any boys interested in participating in the 1st Annual Macho Man Volleyball Tournament in April can now pick up a participation form in the annex. Please turn them in to Coach Hebert in room 106 or Coach Rivero in room 207. The deadline to sign up is March 21st.
·        Prom Information:
o  Limited Time Prom Tickets go on sale on March 6th through March 19th for $25 through the school online payment system. After March 19th the ticket price increases to $30. Every Walker student must purchase his/her own ticket! Only those that purchase tickets between March 6 & 19 are eligible for Prom Queen & King. But, you can’t even get a ticket unless your Clearance Request is Cleared!
o  Every student at Walker must do a prom clearance request. This is an online request and takes about 2 minutes. You will receive an email back, letting you know whether or not you are cleared! So far, over 100 emails have been sent back because students owe either a school fee or a library fee. These fees must be paid or your ticket will not be released. Be sure to check your email!
o  If you have questions, you can check at the annex during your lunch, but not during class time.
