Announcements for Friday, April 4, 2025

ATHLETICS:

·         Congratulations to the Lady Cats softball team for their 10-6 win at Academy of Our Lady. The Lady Cats are back in action tomorrow at Dutchtown starting at 3pm.

·         Congratulations to the varsity baseball team for their 7-6 win over Dutchtown.  Today, the JV and varsity teams will play away at Denham Springs starting at 4pm.  The Varsity team will play at home tomorrow at 2pm against St. Michael.

·         Good luck to our bass fishing team as they are competing in a qualifier event this weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS:

·         Congratulations to Aniyah Jackson-James! She placed first at the DECA Day at Southeastern Sales Pitch competition! She received a $1000 scholarship to Southeastern, where she plans to major in a business related field.

ALL STUDENTS:

·         Anyone participating in Macho Man needs to pick up the practice/game schedules from the annex during their lunch today. Practices start on Monday.

·         Our theater department will be presenting “The Great Gatsby” April 24-26.  Tickets are on sale at i2Tickets.com.

·         Prom photos from the Red Carpet and Dance are now available online. A link has been sent through KiNVO and is posted on social media so that you can view and order your photos. 

·         Attention Students taking the ACT TOMORROW  …  You will report to North Campus for testing. You should report by 7:30 AM to the Annex located off Burgess on the north side of campus.  You will park in the lot accessible by Burgess Ave across from Westside Junior High.  Students should bring their printed admission ticket, a picture ID such as a driver's license or school ID, a personal calculator, and pencils. Please note: LA Wallet is not accepted by ACT.  Finally, check that your calculator meets ACT guidelines by visiting ACT.org or checking the flyer outside room 1106. If you have any questions, see Ms. Courville in room 1106.

SOPHOMORES:

·         Sophomores, Jostens will be on campus on Friday, April 11th to take class ring orders and payments. They will be located in the Wildcat Gymnasium lobby during all three lunch shifts.

SENIORS:

·         Seniors, Herff Jones will be here TODAY in the Wildcat Gymnasium lobby during all lunch shifts to deliver graduation supplies (announcements, name cards, other paper products). They will also be taking payments and orders for those that have not ordered yet. Every senior participating in the graduation ceremony must purchase a cap and gown from Herff Jones. 

·         Caps and gowns will be delivered during senior breakfast on Friday, April 25 during 1st block. ALL SENIORS MUST BE IN SCHOOL UNIFORM TO ATTEND SENIOR BREAKFAST. Any senior that cannot attend senior breakfast can stop by main office beginning Monday, April 28 to pick up your cap and gown. 

·         Gold stoles will be handed out at senior awards. White stoles will be handed out at graduation practice.
